Mak-a-Moo and Russy Boy,

You have always been so much more than dogs to me - you are my family, my comforters, my protectors, my companions, and two of my very best friends. I cherish the special bond I share with each of you and am beyond grateful for the many years of love, loyalty, friendship, and companionship we have shared.

Thank you for comforting me when I'm sad, calming me when I'm anxious, making me laugh, and always being right by my side. Your unconditional love means more to me than I could ever put into words. You are my baby boys, my sweet real-life teddy bears, and two of the greatest loves of my life.

Mak, you are sweet, gentle, protective, and silly.

Russ, you are my smiley snuggle bug. You are so smart and gentle, and you have the biggest heart.

Mak, I will never forget the day we brought you home and you came bounding through the snow to play with me. You were the cutest little puppy, and you have always loved being outside in the cold, blustery winter weather.

You have always been my comforter. Whenever I was sick, you would lie beside me in bed all day, making sure I was never alone. I love it when you jump onto my bed and we cozy up together.

I love how you gently tap me with your paw whenever you want more pets. You are also always ready for a treat. You loved all your toys, but the squeaky ones were always your favorite. You always loved relaxing in your favorite spots - hiding in my closet or chilling on the couch on the patio - and I always knew exactly where to find you. I even loved how your excitement was uncontainable whenever grooming day came around.

You've always made me feel safe, especially when I'm home alone - my little protector.

I love the way you talk to us through your special barks, and you sure make me laugh with your storytelling.

You've always been a little ornery, from counter-surfing to stealing an entire charcuterie board!

You've been such a tenacious fighter - you battled cancer for years and never let it get you down. Through everything you faced, you continued to be your sweet, spunky, silly, and tenacious self, bringing so much love and happiness to our family.

Russ, I will always remember the day we picked you up in Texas. You were the tiniest pup, but so, so sweet. On the drive home, you slept soundly in my arms, swaddled in a blanket just like a baby.

From the very beginning, you have been my snuggle bug and my smiley boy. I love the tight hugs you give me and the sweet Russy kisses that always brighten my day.

Every morning, you follow me around until you get your morning kiss. You know it is part of our routine, and you are not going to let me forget it. I wouldn't forget it either because our morning kiss makes my day, and I love my Russy kisses.

You love your toys and have always been drawn to the bright-colored ones. Bright orange toys and your hot pink flamingo were some of your favorites. You are a pro at playing catch and tug-of-war. You also love sitting underneath my swing, relaxing near my feet while I swing, and I love how you are always nearby, keeping me company.

I love listening to the little noises you make while you sleep. Whether you are dreaming or snoring soundly, they are so peaceful - like my own personal sound machine.

You are also such a polite boy, especially when you and Mak are playing with your treat puzzles. You patiently let Mak find the treats first instead of pushing your way in.

And you definitely have a sweet tooth. I will never forget the time you managed to eat an entire tray of fudge! You have also always loved eating lip balm and lotion, you silly boy.

You have such a gentle and loving heart, but you are also incredibly strong. You have faced your own struggles and continued to be the same sweet, loving Russy Boy through it all. You are a true warrior, and I am so proud of you.

Some of my favorite moments with you two are the simple ones, like our nightly ritual of sitting in the dog bed surrounded by my two best friends, ready for scratches, belly rubs, kisses, and cuddles. Russ is always on my left and Mak is always on my right, so with one of you on each side of me, I get all the snuggles, hugs, kisses, and cuddles I could ever need.

It's moments like these that make me smile from the inside out. When I'm surrounded by y'all, I feel completely calm. You are my real-life teddy bears, and I know that whenever I need comfort, I can cuddle with you. You both always seem to know exactly what I need - when I need a kiss, when I need to be comforted, and when I simply need you right by my side.

Thank y'all for always being there for me through it all. You have both been so loyal and loving. You comfort me, protect me, make me laugh, make me smile, and fill my life with unconditional love. Life has been so full with you two in it. You make me feel safe, and your unconditional love will never be forgotten. You are my comforters, my protectors, my best friends, my companions, and my baby boys. The bond I share with each of you is something I will always cherish.

My boys, I'm going to miss y'all like crazy. I can't imagine life without you right by my side. It is going to be so hard, and life will be much quieter without the two of you around, but I know you will always be watching over me from Heaven.

I will forever cherish all of our memories - every special kiss, hug, paw tap, snuggle, cuddle, and every sweet moment we shared. Thank you for all the happiness and joy you brought into my life and for loving me so completely and unconditionally.

Rest easy, my sweet boys. Keep each other company and have the best time together in Heaven. I find comfort in knowing that one day, we will be reunited, and I will get to hold you, cuddle you, and cover you in kisses again.

Mak-a-Moo and Russy Boy, I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you - now, always, and forever. I love you both with all my heart. Love you, love you. RUV RUV U!
