The Beauty of Being Bold

Being bold is being brave enough to put yourself out there, ask the questions, apply for the opportunities, and walk through newly opened doors.  For me, one of those bold moments happened when I put it out there to the president of the BBS Foundation that if there was ever a job opportunity, I would be all in. Now, I am the Social Media Manager for the BBS Foundation This opportunity has given me the chance to be more involved in the BBS community and has given me a greater sense of purpose.Through this role, I have learned that I am capable of so much more than I ever thought.

Another door has also recently opened. BioNews reached out to me, and I am going to be a columnist. Like… what?! I am so excited for this opportunity because I get to keep writing my story, sharing hope, and hopefully inspiring others along the way. Through sharing my experiences, I get to help others and hopefully remind them that they are not alone.

Looking back, I’m proud of myself for being brave enough to share pieces of my story with the world. I’m proud of the way one bold move has led to new opportunities, new purpose, and new ways to use my voice.  The worst answer you will ever get is “no” so ask the questions, put those seemingly crazy ideas out there, be brave enough to try, because you never know where an opportunity may arise.Live life boldly!
